Inspired by the grooves of a uniquely funky drummer, our latest Dreamer creation is beyond ordinary. The 14” x 5.75” Total Tone Stave Shell was the first step in embodying Haze’s sound. In conversation with Haze, he described his sound as “explosive, fundamental and heartfelt”, which guided the design behind his Dreamer snare. Purpleheart tonewood was selected to deliver projection and explosiveness, balanced by the crisp attack and cutting definition of Teak. Considering Haze’s needs for live sessions and high intensity playing, die-cast hoops were incorporated to ensure maximum cut and projection at all playing levels. Our custom designed single point lugs were then added to keep the tension stable and while maximizing resonance and articulation.
